Cambridge Early Music presents "Un-plucked" - lute music from the Baroque to last month!

At Clough Hall, Newnham College by kind permission of the Principal and Fellows.

Star Sicilian lutenist Daniele Caminiti and duo partner Mirko Arnone will delight you with an exciting and intimate evening of music by Vivaldi, Scarlatti, Kapsberger and Fusco. The programme will also feature a world premiere piece by Antonino Pirrone.

Daniele Caminiti was born in Sicily. As a soloist he has won many prizes in various national and international competitions. He has dedicated himself to the study of early music played on historical instruments such as the renaissance lute, archlute, theorbo, baroque and romantic guitar. 
His busy schedule includes performing as a soloist as well as a chamber musician in high-profile ensembles and orchestras, often playing with renowned artists, such as Andrea Marcon, Ottavio Dantone, Rubén Dubrovsky, Michael Hofstetter, Christian Curnyn, Attilio Cremonesi, Enrico Onofri, Chiara Banchini, Julia Schröder, Rachel Podger, Marc Hantaï, Maurice Steger, Sergio Azzolini, Antonio Politano, Alfredo Bernardini, Jesper Christensen, Jörg- Andreas Bötticher, Pierre-André Taillard, Cecilia Bartoli, Bernarda Fink, Veronica Cangemi, Maria Cristina Kiehr and Andreas Scholl

Mirko Arnone obtained the Absolute Fist Prize in Classic Guitar at the National Competition for Young Musicians in Caccamo (Italy). He has participated to several projects in Musicology. Mirko Arnone collaborated among others with Barockorchester Capriccio, Holland Baroque Society, Bach Consort Wien, Ensemble Il Profondo, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Camerata Bern, Cappella Mediterranea, Capella Tiberina, Il Gusto Barocco, La Cetra, Musica Fiorita, Brandeburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt a.O., Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, Orchester der Tonhalle Zürich, NDR Orchester, Theater Heidelberg, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Venice Baroque Orchestra.
