I am the Revolution by Benedetta Argentieri

I am the Revolution by Benedetta Argentieri is a docu-film about the courage of three women who fight for women’s rights in the most conflictual countries in the world.

Female leaders that lead armies in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, who grew up among wars and fundamentalism, are the ones supporting other women’s escape from slavery, leading progressive and laic political forces, going from village to village to challenge the Taliban.

These women carry out the most advanced democracy we can imagine, in the worst possible contexts ever. These women bring the necessary revolution everywhere.

Benedetta Argentieri, with a women-only troupe, travelled in territories in war with ISIS, in Taliban dominated regions, to tell the stories of the women who chose not to be victims anymore, turning the dominant stereotype of no-hope women around.

On the occasion of London screening of I am the Revolution, The Italian Cultural Instituted is pleased to host two screenings, one at 4.30pm and the second one at 7pm.
