Antonello Guerrera in conversation with James Blitz

Antonello Guerrera in conversation with James Blitz

Antonello Guerrera, UK and Ireland correspondent for Italian newspaper La Repubblica, talks to James Blitz, Whitehall Editor of the Financial Times, about Europe, the UK and Brexit, taking inspiration from his latest book “Il popolo contro il popolo: perche’ dopo Brexit la democrazia e l’Europa non saranno piu’ le stesse” (The People against the People: why democracy and Europe will not be the same again after Brexit), published by Rizzoli Maxima Moralia.

In the book Guerrera explores the timeline of events that are about to make Brexit a reality, from the initial, largely ignored symptoms to the chaotic developments of its final phase, through the words of its protagonists, with exclusive interviews and “behind the scenes” goings-on, giving an analysis of the causes and possible consequences of this radical change at the heart of the Western world.

Antonello Guerrera
is the UK and Ireland correspondent for La Repubblica as well as Parliamentary reporter from Westminster. He has written for "Il Riformista", "La Gazzetta dello Sport", "Il Post" e "Internazionale".
