Bologna Children’s Book Fair does not stop and not give up on sharing the annual appointment with the international children’s book community.
From May 4th to 7th, the Fair opens an Online Special Edition, in which the offer of business, exclusive content and opportunities for all the professionals of the sector go on – including digital exhibitions, webinars, conferences, book trailers, live streaming, and much more.
The announcement was made on April 23rd, on the occasion of World Book Day 2020.
The opening conference is scheduled on May 4th at 11:00 am, and will focus on children’s publishing during the worldwide lockdown and the perspectives of the industry in a world redesigned by this global experience.
In the rich programme, the digital version of the usual Illustrators Exhibition, with the works by 76 artists from 24 countries, selected by an international jury last January, and a tribute to Rodari in the year of the celebrations of the centenary of the birth: the exhibition Illustrators for Gianni Rodari: Italian Excellence, curated by the Cooperative Giannino Stoppani/Accademia Drosselmeier and realized by Bologna Children’s Book Fair and Emilia-Romagna Region.
The exhibit premiered in the United States in September 2019, at the Portland Art Museum to coincide with the Portland Book Festival, and was later set in San Francisco, at the Italian Cultural Institute from December 2019 to February 2020.
