With support from the Italian Cultural Institute in London and from Film Hub Midlands through funds from the National Lottery, MARCELLO become the first occasion to create a focus on the Italian cinema productions with a particular line up premiered at Film Festivals around the world, with international shortmovie contests for kids and for adults, but also with masterclasses about the Italian cinema industry and the music of the most famous soundtrack of the Italian cinema background.

At MARCELLO there will be guests from the most prestigious local associations, such as Birmingham City University, and Italian stakeholders, such as Film Distributors and Italian directors. In the programme: titles directed by the well known Pupi Avati, Federico Fellini, but also by emerging directors such as Simone Scafidi, Roberto De Feo and very important genre producers such as the Manetti Bros.
