The Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators

From Thursday 30 September

ICI London is delighted to support The Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators, established by the Queen’s College, University of Oxford, in partnership with the Stephen Spender Trust, which this year include the Italian language as well as teaching resources on translating Italian poetry and fiction which will be available for all levels

This competition for schools, launched last year by the Queen’s College Translation Exchange founded by Charlotte Ryland, is inspired by the life and work of great translator Anthea Bell.

It aims to promote language learning across the UK and to inspire creativity in the classroom. By providing teachers with the tools they need to bring translation to life, it will also try to motivate more pupils to study modern foreign languages throughout their time at school and beyond.
