To celebrate the Italian Festa della Repubblica (Italian National Day) ICI London is pleased to present Kety Fusco Experimental Performance.
A project by Italian renowned harpist Kety Fusco, recently performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London Featuring music from her latest album THE HARP – a contemporary exploration of the harp as an instrument, in all its forms, both sonorous and structural.
Kety Fusco’s performances take the spectator into an impromptu musical dimension, far from the classical canons of the harp and rich in depth and drama that suggest contemporary themes. Exploiting the materials of which a classical harp is made (wood, metal and gut), Kety Fusco produces sounds and settings that suggest its deconstruction, just as the visual artists have produced images that enhance the raw material of the instrument.
The project was born during the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation artistic residency in Venice, to which Kety Fusco was invited.
