Ciao (Rizzoli, 2015) - Talk in Italian with English simultaneous translationThis book tells of the impossbile encounter  of the authour  with is father,  who passed away when the writer was only a  one year old.   Walter got to know his father only  through mementos he found at home  and testimonies of the people who knew and worked with him. In the book  they meet as strangers, they are together  for the first time  and only for one night. They  tell each other of their  lives. It is a journey  through  loss and  search of roots, till the discovery  of a common thread.  I bambini sanno (2015, 113’, colour, with English subtitles)39 children between the ages of 8 and 13 are asked about their views on Italy, life, adults, love, passions, family, and the future.  The director  explains contemporary Italy thorugh the voices of these children.

Marino Sinibaldi is a journalist, literary critic and director of RadioTre. He is co-founder of the journal Linea d’Ombra and he published Pulp. La Letteratura nell’era della simultaneità (Donzelli, 1997) and "It’s Hard to Talk about Yourself" (University of Chicago Press, 2003).Walter Veltroni is an Italian writer, filmmaker, journalist and politician, who served as the first leader of the Democratic Party.  He served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Culture (1998-2001) and as Mayor of Rome from June 2001 to February 2008.
