Italian Arthouse Choreography at the ICI #1

Italian Arthouse Choreography at the ICI #1

The first in a series of four performances presenting the work of upcoming independent Italian choreographers in collaboration with Tripspace. Part of the season Intercontinental Drifts 2017: performances and workshops that move, mix and matter. Each performance will be followed by a post-show talk offering further insight into the artist’s process and thinking, hosted by Betsy Gregory.

Irene Russolillo | THE SPEECH

THE SPEECH is a chaotic attempt to fill up our personal "empty spaces". Made of extreme gestures, it speaks to the audience and invites them to read thought and language differently. An invitation that reveals something intimate; a desperate and beautiful call; or maybe just an excuse to show the very raw material of which we are made. THE SPEECH was made in collaboration with Lisi Estaras, long-time collaborator of Alain Platel/ Les Ballets C de La B.
