The Rise of Europe’s Far-right

The Rise of Europe’s Far-right. Are fascism and authoritarianism returning in modern-day Europe?

A lecture by Paolo Berizzi

Chaired by Andrea Mammone

The rise of the far right right is in one of the most problematic issues of our era. Recent developments are demonstrating how successful these rightwing nationalist parties and demagogic leaders continue to be in attracting voters.

Ahead of the European Union election of May 2019, and following the International Remembrance day for the victims of anti-Semitism, Paolo Berizzi and Andrea Mammone will discuss the growth of fascist and illiberal politics as well as the appeal of xenophobic propaganda and authoritarian tendencies in Italy and across Europe.
