Our Relationship with Nature

ICI London co-hosts this literary evening taking place at Scotland House, London, part of the EUNIC London 2021 European Writers series, an ongoing project taking place in London and around the country, aimed at bringing European authors to the UK to share their stories and experiences.
The event will explore the themes of nature exploitation and the impact of human-led events in both a historical context through to the present day global climate emergency.
With Scottish author Donald S. Murray reflecting on his new novel: In a Veil of Mist, about tthe effects of human driven events on the Isle of Lewis in 1957, and Italian author Marco Balzano (in videoconference) on his new novel I’m Staying Here, about the struggle of one woman and her village against war, racism and ecological devastation. T
Chaired by Chitra Ramaswamy, a freelance journalist based in Edinburgh whose writing features in Antlers of Water: Writing on the Nature and Environment of Scotland.
