Milan, Capital of Design traces a journey through the places, faces and ideas that have made the city a global benchmark for design culture. From great masters such as Gio Ponti, Gae Aulenti, Achille Castiglioni and Franco Albini to the “rebels” Ettore Sottsass and Alessandro Mendini, and to more intimate and contemporary voices such as Michele De Lucchi, the series interweaves life stories and creative visions. Through house-archives, iconic objects, trains, lights and dreams, these films lead us into the soul of Milan — where design emerges from a dialogue between space, time and imagination. A city that does not simply tell its story, but reinvents itself each day through those who conceive it and inhabit it.
