Streaming Documentaries. Ambiente, territorio, giardino
We are delighted to share this project, curated in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Audiovisiva, the first digital platform bringing together and streaming the finest documentaries dedicated to the leading figures of Italian culture.
Reconstructing a territory by walking through gardens: this is the idea that unites the series of films dedicated to the garden.
Never more than in these years has the garden been called upon to fulfil different tasks and functions: from the recovery of native flora to the collecting of varieties belonging to different territorial and cultural geographies.
One moves from the strong demand for the most overt and luxurious ornamental element to a botanically refined and elite minimalism. No less relevant are the social needs for a less exclusive, less private and less privileged garden.
The series gathers stories and experiences of plant landscapes: gardens without paths and without fences, wild gardens and uncultivated areas.
