La Bella Cucina. Matteo Augello in conversation with Giorgio Locatelli

On the occasion of the Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel Mondo – Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World

Event organised in collaboration with ITA – Italian Trade Agency

What can you find in the pantry of a Michelin-starred chef? What memories and emotions are unlocked by the magical ingredients it contains?

In this special event Giorgio Locatelli will share stories from his fascinating career and discuss how Italian food has changed over the years. Locatelli is one of UK’s most-respected chefs and a great promoter of Italian cuisine and culture. In 1999 he was awarded his first star at Zafferano and, after opening Locanda Locatelli in 2002, has kept his star for twenty solid years.

As an Italian expat, he has taken his recipes with him, adapted and presented them to new audiences. His passion for food and conviviality has charmed viewers and readers alike through Locatelli’s TV programmes and books, such as Made in Italy (2006), Italy Unpacked (BBC, 2013-2015) and Made at Home (2017). He has been starring on Masterchef Italia since 2019.
