Marco Varvello, journalist, has a degree in Philosophy. He started his career at the daily newspaper La Notte, then Il Giornale, edited by Indro Montanelli. In RAI he has worked at the financial desk of TG1, anchored the TG1 edition of 1.30pm and has worked as reporter from the US. He worked with Enzo Biagi at the programme Il Fatto, which he also curated. In 1997 he became RAI UK correspondent. Then from 2006 to 2014 he was in charge of the RAI office in Germany, in Berlin. In 2014 he came back to London, as UK correspondent. He has double citizenship, Italian and British. He was awarded the Ado-Lisant Literarzy Prize of Lille-Bruxelles and the Foreign Press Awards 2018. His latest books are “Brexit blues” (Mondadori), “Londra anni Venti” (Bompiani) and “Passo falso” (RaiLibri).
