Match Point Junior 2025 First Edition: Buon viaggio

Il Circolo London is proud to announce the first edition of Match POINT Junior, a creative competition both literary and artistic for children between the ages of 8 and 12 who are UK residents. The initiative encourages children to explore their creativity by writing original short stories or poems in Italian or creating illustrations.
The theme of Match POINT Junior is ‘Buon Viaggio’. It can be a real journey, like a family vacation, moving to a new city, or a hike in nature, but also an imaginary one—through fantastical worlds, historical eras, or even personal dreams and desires. To travel means to grow, to learn, to discover parts of ourselves and of the world that were previously unknown.
The literary and artistic competition has been organised under the patronage of the Italian Consulate General in London and in collaboration with the Institute of Italian Culture, Book o’Clock, Sial and Il Libro Possibile. The jury, composed of authors Gloria Danili, Beatrice Sica, Ericavale Morello and publisher Julia Brizi della Rosa will announce the young winners in October 2025 as part of the celebrations for the Week of the Italian Language in the World at the Italian Cultural Institute in London.
