Palermo Blossoms with Saint Rosalia

Sito web

The photographic exhibition “Palermo Blossoms with Saint Rosalia” is coming to London as part of its international tour celebrating the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the relics of Saint Rosalia (July 1624), the patron saint of Palermo.

The exhibition features 27 photographs selected through a photographic competition held on the occasion of the Festino of 14 July 2024, open to professional journalists and photojournalists. Participants captured the vibrant tradition of the Festino through engaging images, helping to promote Palermo on the international stage. The competition was adjudicated by a distinguished panel, including Roberto Gueli, President of the Sicilian Order of Journalists; Gianfranco Marrone, Professor of Semiotics at the University of Palermo; and Maria Francesca Martinez Tagliavia, Director of the Modern Art Gallery (GAM).
