Luigi Comencini (8 June 1916 – 6 April 2007) is considered among the masters of the “commedia all’italiana” genre together with Dino Risi, Ettore Scola, and Mario Monicelli. He was a writer-director known for Everybody Go Home! (1960), Voltati Eugenio (1980) and Bread, Love and Dreams (1953).
