The “Nicola Sala” State Conservatory of Music of Benevento presents a concert dedicated to Gioconda De Vito, the Italo-British virtuoso violinist known as “the Goddess of the Violin”, and to the Italian and European musical tradition between the eighteenth and twentieth centuries.
The programme spans Classicism, Romanticism and twentieth-century Neoclassicism, bringing tradition and modernity into dialogue through chamber works by Domenico Gallo (attributed to Pergolesi), Niccolò Paganini, Igor Stravinsky, and Ottorino Respighi. This musical journey highlights lyricism, formal elegance and richness of tone, offering audiences a meaningful synthesis of the great Italian musical tradition.
