The Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the MUFOCO – Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of London and the Archivio Eredi di Luigi Ghirri, present the exhibition Viaggio in Italia, curated by Matteo Balduzzi, hosted at ICI London from February 12 to March 28, 2025. The exhibition celebrates the 40th anniversary of Viaggio in Italia, the photographic project conceived by Luigi Ghirri in 1984, considered a milestone of the history of contemporary Italian photography, which offered an alternative representation of Italy. It will present the 86 images contained in the original catalogue, reprinted in an anastatic copy for this celebratory occasion. Image Credits: Mirko Boffelli.
