Italian design renaissance. On art and design education in the heart of Italy

We are pleased to host this study day organised by the Accademia di Belle Arti di Perugia, dedicated to a reflection on the themes of the training of the artist and the designer today, starting from the educational model developed by the Drawing Academies since the end of 1500, through to the adoption of that Italian model in the rest of Europe and worldwide, and to the present international scenario.
On the occasion of the presentation of the new cycle of PhD studies of Design of Identities, by the Accademia di Belle Arti di Perugia, speakers will talk about topical subjects such as art and design teaching methodology in a new and complex contest, the concept of sustainability and its possible applications to teaching models and programmes, examples of artistic research.
