Friday 13 November, 12.45 – 8.45pm at the Royal Society of Medicine, Wimpole Street, London W1G 0AE
ICI London supports the Italian programme within the 13th Edition of the European Psychoanalytic Film Festival (13-15 November). The theme of this year’s Festival is Passion.
The Italian programme is dedicated to the life and work of Andrea Sabbadini (1950–2025), Director of the European Psychoanalytic Film Festival from 2001 to 2019. His vision was instrumental in shaping the festival’s distinctive engagement with cinema and psychoanalysis, and his influence continues to resonate throughout its programme. The evening will feature a selection of films presented in tribute to Sabbadini’s legacy, including Cinema Paradiso (Giuseppe Tornatore, Italy, 1988). Together, these works reflect themes and cinematic approaches closely connected to his contribution to the festival. The programme will conclude with a panel discussion reflecting on Sabbadini’s life and work.
