La bohème at the Shaw Theatre

2024 is Puccini’s centenary, and to celebrate this important anniversary the Italian Cultural Association Il Circolo, in collaboration with Italian composer and conductor Dimitri Scarlato and the Regium Lepidi Academy, are bringing to stage one of most acclaimed and performed operas composed by Giacomo Puccini.
La bohème tells the story and the romances of a group of young artistic people, full of dreams who live in Paris. Love, laughter, friendship and sadness are masterfully depicted by Puccini’s music and vocal lines, that cannot but stir deep emotions on the audience.
This performance will see on stage young and upcoming singers, accompanied by an ensemble of 10 instruments, conducted by Dimitri Scarlato, and it will be introduced by a talk discussing the impact of Puccini on opera and why La bohème is one of the most performed operas
