The Italian Library #2: Leggere Poesia

paolo di paolo

New year, new events curated by Ornella Tarantola, for our Eugenio Montale library. A series of encounters books, by and with Italian writers.

Leggere poesia/Reading Poetry, with Paolo Di Paolo

Monday 17 February, 6.30 pm

Ornella Tarantola talks to Paolo Di Paolo, who will show us how to read the poems that we studied at school in a new and surprising way, reconnecting the writing to our life. What does it remind us of … La nebbia agli irti colli… or C’e’ qualcosa di nuovo oggi nel sole.

An evening to rediscover the “the cultural background” that the school has given us.

Readings by Marco Gambino, from Ada Negri, Giacomo Leopardi, Giosue’ Carducci, Giovanni Pascoli, Ugo Foscolo.
