ICI London is pleased to introduce the fourth event of a series of concerts “Young Music Italy” aimed at showcasing the best of Italian craftsmanship and the most promising Italian musical talents.

In collaboration with pianist Alfredo Conte, ICI London will host two days of music as a tribute to Maestro Franco Medori, who was the foremost representative of the so-called Neapolitan school of music for pianists.

On Tuesday the 26th of September at 3.30 pm, a workshop curated by Maestro Maura Pansini, with a focus on the study methodology on the piano performance practice. Reserve your free spot for the workshop HERE.

On Wednesday the 27th of September at 6.30 pm, a piano recital conducted by Maestro Maura Pansini with her apprentices Marina Ciocca and Alfredo Conte, playing music by Busoni, Chopin, Musorgskij, and Liszt. Book your free ticket for the concert HERE.

Maura Pansini graduated as a pianist at Conservatorio di Muscia E.R. Duni in Matera and in the didactic study of music at Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome. Winner of several international awards, she studied as an apprentice of Maestro Franco Medori at Tomàs Ludovico da Victoria School in Rome, graduating with distinction. She played at Società dei concerti in Milan, Accademia Filarmonica in Bologna, AGIMus in Florence, Art’s Academy in Rome, Thalberg in Naples, Istituzione orchestrale in Bari, Amici della Musica in Lecce, Orchestra Sinfonica della Provincia in Matera, and many more. Currently, she is Professor at Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome.

Alfredo Conte began studying the piano when he was seven, later studying at the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venice, the Conservatorio Giuseppe Tartini in Trieste, and the Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome. He recently graduated from the music department of King’s College London, completing a course in advanced piano performance at the Royal Academy of Music. Conte has attended several masterclasses with the likes of Maestro Bogini and Maestro Pérez de Gùzman and has performed at several prime Italian venues like Ateneo Veneto (VE), Palazzo Albrizzi (VE), Teatro Miela (TS), Teatro Ristori (UD), Auditorium S.Domenico (PG). He is the winner of the contest Concorso internazionale pianistico “Dinu Lipatti” (2023).

Marina Ciocca started her study as a pianist in Rotterdam, graduating at Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome with distinction in 2021 as an apprentice of Maura Pansini. She is currently studying with Maestro Pansini. She received several pianist awards, such as “IV Concorso Pianistico Internazionale Mozart” in Frascati (2009), “Premio Accademia 2011” in Rome, “Premio Accademia 2013” in Rome, “Euterpe” in Rome (2013), “Cantus Pianus” in Rome, (2014), “HYPERION Sonja Pahor” in Ciampino (2014), “Clivis” in Rome (2015), “Dinu Lipatti” in Rome (2016), “Premio Accademia Giovani 2017” in Rome, “7 Note Romane” in Rome (2018), “5° Concorso Pianistico Internazionale Bruno Bettinelli” in Treviglio (2019), “10th International Music Competition for Youth Dinu Lipatti” in Rome (2022).
