Nomadic pages – The Art of Igort is a virtual exhibition exploring some of Igort’s most innovative and visually exciting work, inaugurated as part of The Lakes International Comic Art Festival on 9-11 October and now available to visit online.
The exhibition, curated by Leonardo Rizzi, focuses on three works by Igort, aka Igor Tuveri: 5 Is The Perfect Number; Japanese Notebooks; Ukranian + Russian Notebooks. They represent an exploration of three different worlds, highlighting how varied and wide-ranging is the scope of this artist, at the same time a prolific graphic novelist, writer, film-maker and musician, as well as founder of the influential artistic movement Valvoline and of two publishing houses, and currently editor of the newly-revamped Linus magazine, the longest-running comics and pop culture magazine in the world.
