Classical Plays at the Greek Theatre, Syracuse, 56th Edition

The Greek Theatre in the Neapolis Archaeological Park, in the Sicilian city of Syracuse, once again hosts the classical plays written by the ancient Greek playwrights, honouring a long tradition of giving life back to ancient drama and delivering it to the present generation.
After the cancellation of last year’s season due to the pandemic, this summer, from 3 July to 21 August, audiences will be able to enjoy Coefore Eumenidi by Aeschylus, directed by Davide Livermore, The Bacchae by Euripides, directed by Carlus Padrissa, and The Clouds by Aristophanes, directed by Antonio Calenda.
While Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides, directed by Jacopo Gassmann, will take place in 2022.
