Members holding a valid Italian Cultural Institute membership are entitled to a free subscription to MLOL, the Italian Online Library and Digital Newsstand.
Media Library Online (MLOL) is a digital lending platform that provides access to some of the most important Italian and international newspapers and magazines, a selection of e-books from leading Italian publishers, and the largest collection of open-access content available across Italian libraries. The platform allows users to connect to Italy’s primary network of public, school and university libraries.
At present, this network includes over 7,000 Italian libraries and 12 international libraries.

Once registered, you will receive an email containing your login credentials and a link to access the service. Please follow this user guide for the online platform.
The system allows you to download newspapers and magazines daily and to borrow up to two e-books per month. Each loan lasts 14 days, after which it will expire automatically.
How to download a book
1. Open the Media Library Online website in your browser
2. Select “IIC London” and log in using your credentials
3. Click on “Search”
4. Select the book of your choice
5. Click “Download”
