Noir al femminile

Grazia Verasani in conversation with Paola De Carolis and Ornella Tarantola

“Noir is considered a genre for men. I have often been told: You write like a man. And I was dumbfounded. When “Quo vadis, baby?”came out in 2004, there were only a handful of largely unknown female noir writers. At the time I got so many messages from young female writers who wanted to tackle this genre and looked at me as some sort of pioneer, thanks to the success of Salvatores’ film and of the tv series, but also to this new female character, modern, different, unlike the clichè of male writers. ”  GRAZIA VERASANI
